C32 Tier 3 / IMO II

C32 ACERT Tier 3

The C32 ACERT marine propulsion engine is available at ratings that meet both EPA Tier 3 and IMO II emissions regulations. It has a separate circuit aftercooling system (SCAC) for A through C ratings and a seawater aftercooling system (SWAC) for D and E ratings. The C32 ACERT has seven ratings with Wide Operating Speed Range (WOSR) and extended oil change intervals. 3406C

The mechanically governed 3406C marine propulsion engine is available “A” rating of 365 bhp (272 bkW) and a “B” rating of 400 bhp (298 bkW).

C32 IMO II

The C32 marine propulsion engine is available at ratings that meet IMO II emissions regulations. It has a separate circuit aftercooling system (SCAC) for A through C ratings, six ratings with Wide Operating Speed Range (WOSR) and extended oil change intervals. Other benefits include proven engine operating history and performance iron with thousands of validation testing hours for quality and durability. The C32 marine engine is supported by the extensive Cat global dealer network and Caterpillar’s standard warranty.

C18 ACERT Tier 3

The C18 ACERT marine propulsion engine has commercial application ratings of 475-725 mhp (469-715 bhp) at 1800-2100 rpm that meet U.S. EPA Tier 3, IMO II, and EU IW emissions regulations. In addition to meeting the stricter EPA Tier 3 emissions, this engine now offers a fresh water aftercooled option for the commercial propulsion and auxiliary engines and genset packages. C18 ACERT IMO II

The C18 ACERT marine propulsion engine has commercial application ratings of 454-715 bhp that meet IMO II & EU Stage IIA emissions regulations, and 469-715 bhp that meet EPA Tier 3, IMO II and EU Stage IIIA emissions regulations. C12

Cat® C12 Diesel Marine Propulsion Engines, with ratings of 340-490 bhp (254-366 bkW) at 1800-2300 rpm, meet IMO II emission standards with the exception of the 497 mhp (490 bhp) rating at 2300 rpm which meets IMO I emissions standards. The C12 takes full advantage of the electronically controlled unit injection fuel system, resulting in an environmentally friendly engine with outstanding performance and fuel economy. There is also a wide range of optional equipment available to meet the needs of your marine commercial or pleasure craft application.

C9.3 ACERT

The C9.3 ACERT propulsion engine has a B rating of 375 bhp (280 bkW) at 1800 rpm, a C rating of 416 bhp (310 bkW) at 2100 rpm, and a D rating of 476 bhp (355 bkW) at 2300 rpm. The C9.3 propulsion, auxiliary, and generator set engines have a common rail fuel system for optimal combustion and lower emissions. Cooling system options for the propulsion and auxiliary engines include heat exchanger with sea water aftercooling, and keel with combined circuit or separate circuit aftercooling. The genset packages are available with heat exchanger, keel, or radiator cooling. These products are EPA Tier 3 and IMO II certified. In addition the propulsionengine ratings are EU Stage IIIA certified and auxiliary and gen sets are also CCNR Stage II certified.
