Our Life Saving Rules
We are proud of our positive safety record and our strong safety-first culture. Our priority is to ensure we get everyone safely home, every day and that is why we have our Life Saving Rules.

Vehicles and driving
Ensure vehicle is safe to drive. Seatbelts are worn. Drive Responsibly.

Cranes and lifting devices
Ensure you are trained and competent to operate. Inspect crane and lifting devices before use.

Isolations
Isolate, lockout or control all energy sources before working on any plant or equipment.

Loading and unloading
Always ensure the area is safe to load/unload. Ensure there is sufficient room to maneuver.

Fitness for work
Ensure you present to work mentally and physically ready and not under the influence of alcohol, drugs or fatigue.

Hazardous substances
Always obtain, read and follow instructions on the Safety Data Sheet for any hazardous substance with which you will be working with.

Manual handling
Plan and assess before any manual handling task is carried out.
Wellbeing at EPSA
Safety is more than just preventing physical harm. It’s also about supporting our people’s mental health at work and providing a community of colleagues they can connect with. Demonstrating care is at the heart of how we work together.
Employee Assistance Program
EPSA offers our team members and their families support through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The EAP gives our people confidential access to qualified professionals, including psychologists, social workers and management support counsellors.
The We Care program at EPSA
Our team members are encouraged to participate in the We Care mental health training program, which teaches them how to identify and support a colleague to get help who may be struggling with their mental health.
