Energy Power Systems Australia is part of Caterpillar global network. The Australian Cat Dealer Network is made up of our shareholders, who are our state-based dealer partners. It is a simple yet powerful relationship, combining the capabilities of a global leader with the close personal relationships of local dealers and customers. It has made us what we are today and will carry us into the future.

Cat dealers have delivered Cat products, solutions and expertise in Australia since 1925 when the Caterpillar Tractor Company was formed in the USA and Wigmores (now WesTrac) was established in Western Australia.

Thank you for your support Ash during the whole project process, and can you thank Lindsay Phillis for his tireless support whilst on site sorting out the fuel and electrical issues, his quick thinking in making the call to send those extra 400A boards and cables, which saved the project from disaster. His ongoing offsite support with the genset updates via modem uplinks (over weekends as well) - allowed him to alert us of a battery charging issue on 001 set which we were able to rectify in time before the genset was affected! This is the difference between Energy Power Systems/Caterpillar and someone like Coates Hire…..

Without a doubt, 2020 has been a challenging year. Circumstances have made it even more important for us all to stay connected and, for those who are able, be willing to support those around us.

At EPSA, lots of us have been and continue to be working remotely. Although it is necessary to keep the community safe, the mental health consequences of isolation can take its toll. We would like to remind everyone to take time to connect with their workmates, friends and family and ask, R U OK?

Today one of our young engineers is working on a compressor from EPSA’s Cat Rental fleet. Our Branch Manager Mel (right) is working with Ushan, a student from the School of Mines at Curtin University in Kalgoorlie (WASM).

It is great to be involved with the students and their programs. As a leader in the mining industry, it is important to support the work of WASM and the future leaders of the mining industry.
