EPSA and Redpath Shortlisted for Decarbonisation Award

We’re proud to share we’ve been shortlisted for the Innovation in Decarbonising Material Movement Award at this year’s summit.

This prestigious award honours outstanding advancements in reducing the carbon footprint of material movement in mining. Our nominated project features the first-of-its-kind integration in Australia of Caterpillar’s BESS Power Grid Stabilisation (PGS1260) system with regenerative hoist technology—a powerful combination that:

  • Cuts diesel consumption
  • Captures and reuses energy from hoist descent
  • Improves overall energy stability and system efficiency

This hybrid approach is setting a new benchmark for sustainability in underground mining. Learn more here.
