The Opportunity

As part of the Global Cat® business, we are the Cat® engine and generator dealer for Australia, Papua New Guinea, and the Solomon Islands.

We provide a full service offering with technical support to find the optimal power, air, or temperature control solutions to drive our clients’ business.  We have a large modern workshop and yard in Mulgrave to service this growth region for our business.  We have a strong, safety-focused team specialising in diesel and gas power generation, including servicing, fault finding, repairs and remote support as required.

Are you a mechanical/electrical trade-qualified technician or supervisor looking for an opportunity to build your career and learn the intricacies of power generation to meet our clients’ diverse needs and applications?

What does your ideal team look like?

Our extended team comprises technical experts across diverse disciplines including, electrical, mechanical, sales, operations and administration, working together to bring practical and smarter solutions to our customers.  Driving schedules for engine build-ups, resource management and parts this role is a key to our success in growing our business.

You will be experienced in undertaking servicing, fault finding and repair in a service environment and experience leading a team of cross functional technicians.  We offer strong training and development support, both face-to-face and on-line through Cat® University.

About you:

  • Mechanical or electrical trade qualification
  • Experience supervising/leading a team
  • Current drivers’ license
  • Proven computer literacy skills (including Microsoft suite)
  • High-level organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong listening, fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, driven and a self-starter
