The Opportunity
At Energy Power Systems Australia (EPSA) our mission is clear – to give our customers the power they need to succeed.
As from 2013, EPSA assumed distribution of Cat Mannheim sourced Gas Products in Australia, PNG and Solomon Islands. EPSA has taken on the parts and service support role for existing MWM and Cat CG products which has proven to be an extremely capable supplier of gas generator sets and CG series gas generators. Offering a complete line of gas electric power products ranging from 50 – 4,300 electrical kW to meet a wide range of customer application needs.
Based in Mulgrave, EPSA has an opportunity for a Field Service Technician to work as part of our CAT/CG – Mannheim business.
The role:
To deliver exceptional customer service to our clients in servicing, overhauling, maintaining, commissioning and demobilising gas/diesel engines. You will deliver Cat/CG – Mannheim product gas service and parts through strong relationships and identifying future business prospects.
This role will include regular national travel to WA, NSW, QLD and other locations within Victoria as well as time in the workshop. You will support our growing customer base and an on-call roster with great overtime opportunities. We offer strong training and development support, both face-to-face and on-line through Cat® University.
About you:
- Experience overhauling gas/diesel engines
- Relevant trade qualification and experience (mechanical/electrical preferable)
- Ability to manage parts requirements for off-site work
- Current drivers’ license with experience towing a trailer
- You will require your own tools for trade
- Ability to prepare service job reports, timesheets when required
- High-level organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong listening, fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, driven and a self-starter
