The opportunity

This role is based in Emerald, Queensland and involves regular travel to our customer sites located in and around the Emerald region.  We are looking for an experienced technician – either Electrical License or Refrigeration – both would be a bonus!

About you

• A Grade Electrical License and / or
• Refrigeration License
• Current drivers’ license
• Experience in maintaining and repairing diesel power generation equipment and / or refrigeration experience
• High-level organisational and communication skills – written and verbal.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously at a customer locations
• Self-motivated, driven and a self-starter
• Sound knowledge of computer and software systems

Key Responsibilities

• Servicing of power generation, refrigeration and plant fleet located in the Emerald region.
• Minor overhauls.
• Troubleshoot, maintain clean and repair fleet.
• General forklift operation, cleanliness, safety and maintenance.
• Preparation and completion of service, job reports, time sheets and other reports in a timely and efficient manner.
• Monitoring and ordering of fleet spares and consumables as needed.
• Paid daily travel to and from customer site/s.
• 5 & 2 roster – 7.6 hour ordinary day.
• Participation in an On-Call Roster.
