The Port Moresby branch of the Institution of Engineers PNG (IEPNG) has fundraised to donate a 110kVA Cat® standby generator set for the children’s emergency ward at the Port Moresby General Hospital. The IEPNG purchased the generator from us in August, says Craig Fitzgibbon, EPSA’s PNG Area Manager. “Our staff then joined IEPNG engineers to donate their time and resources for the logistics and installation process. The generator will primarily provide backup electricity to the paediatric ward, which has previously suffered from low power supply during power outages.” EPSA’s Craig Fitzgibbon (top middle) joins representatives from IEPNG and Port Moresby General Hospital at the cheque presentation ceremony for the new generator.
