Capitalising on its reputation for innovative, high-quality construction, Australian superyacht builder Echo Yachts is constructing an 84 metre Trimaran superyacht. The EPSA MEC team is excited to be working with Echo Yachts and its team at its Henderson site in Western Australia, says MEC Manager John Taylor.
“The contract to supply electrical power generation equipment used to propel the vessel and power accommodation was secured in January 2015.
“We are supplying four Cat C32 (940 ekW) and two C18 (550 ekW) custom marine package gensets to DNV class. The delivery of equipment will be in the coming months with commissioning expected in 2017.”
The Trimaran superyacht will be the latest in a long line of superyachts built for her owner and will not only be the biggest superyacht ever built in Australia, but also the largest tri-hulled superyacht ever built.
